Strawberry Frosting


  • 2 cups strawberries

  • 2 cups rhubarb

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 3 tablespoons water

  • 1 cup white frosting (your favorite recipe)


Cook all the ingredients together until soft, about 10 minutes. Strain out as much liquid as possible, then pour the liquid into a saucepan and reduce until it coats the back of a spoon, 1-2 minutes. Cool completely, then stir 2 tablespoons of the syrup into 1 cup of your favorite white frosting recipe.
