Easy Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe

Is today the day you finally try making your own pizza dough, or have you been kneading away for years? Either way, you’re in the right place. This easy homemade pizza dough recipe gives you yet another way to enjoy pizza—because, let’s be real, there’s no such thing as too much pizza. And if you had to choose between tacos or pizza as your forever food… we know where your loyalty lies 🍕

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water

  • 1 package (1/4 oz.) active-dry yeast (look for pouches labeled "For Pizza")

  • 2 tbsp. EVOO, plus more for greasing the bowl

  • 1 tbsp. mild honey (I like acacia)

  • 2 tbsp. kosher salt

  • 3 cups flour, plus more for rolling out the dough

Directions

Step 1

Fit a stand mixer with a dough hook. In the mixer bowl, mix the warm water and yeast. Let stand until the yeast softens, about 5 minutes. Mix in 2 tbsp. oil, the honey, and salt. With the mixer running, gradually add 3 cups flour. When the dough comes together, turn off the mixer. Drizzle a bowl with a little oil. Transfer the dough to the bowl and turn the dough until it’s coated in the oil. Cover and let stand in a warm draft-free spot until the dough doubles in size, about 1 hour. Cut the dough in half before using.
