Easy Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe

We all know the joy of grabbing a slice of pizza on the go or hitting up your favorite pizza parlor, but have you ever tried making it at home? Are you ready for a home game? You’re ready, aren’t you? You've come to the right place! This easy homemade pizza dough recipe gives you yet another way to enjoy pizza—because, let’s be real, we need all the ways we can get. If someone asked you to choose between tacos or pizza as the only food you could ever eat again, how would you vote? If it's pizza,

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water

  • 1 package (1/4 oz.) active-dry yeast (look for pouches labeled "For Pizza")

  • 2 tbsp. EVOO, plus more for greasing the bowl

  • 1 tbsp. mild honey (I like acacia)

  • 2 tbsp. kosher salt

  • 3 cups flour, plus more for rolling out the dough

Directions

Step 1

Fit a stand mixer with a dough hook. In the mixer bowl, mix the warm water and yeast. Let stand until the yeast softens, about 5 minutes. Mix in 2 tbsp. oil, the honey, and salt. With the mixer running, gradually add 3 cups flour. When the dough comes together, turn off the mixer. Drizzle a bowl with a little oil. Transfer the dough to the bowl and turn the dough until it’s coated in the oil. Cover and let stand in a warm draft-free spot until the dough doubles in size, about 1 hour. Cut the dough in half before using.
