Ginza at Night (Saketini) Recipe

  • Servings: 2

The inspiration for this cocktail is a Sakatini, but I have renamed it after a fancy neighborhood I was fortunate enough to visit in Tokyo called Ginza. Ginza is full of great shopping and numerous delicious restaurants.  Rachael describes this cocktail as “delightful, crisp, very clean, it taste like a limeade or lemonade, it’s delicious”

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces of a dry crisp sake of  your choice
  • 1 ounce of Vodka
  • A heavy splash of Yuzu juice or lime juice
  • ¾ to 1 ounce of simple syrup*
  • Optional, lime twist garnish

Directions

Fill 2 martini glasses with ice and let them sit for a couple of minutes to chill the glasses.  Once your glasses have been chilled, discard the ice and start making the cocktails. In a cocktail shaker combine the sake, vodka, Yuzu and simple syrup.  Add a handful of ice to the mixture, cover and seal the glass with a cocktail shaker, vigorously shake for a couple of seconds.  Pour into the martini glasses and garnish with lime twist.
