Ginger Lime Marga-ria Recipe
- Servings: 1
I always like using a blanco or silver tequila and St. Germain, an elderflower liqueur, in my regular margaritas. Using a clear tequila allows the color of the lime juice to give the margarita a really pretty green color while the St Germain adds a little sweetness and depth of flavor. In this recipe, the Agave Ginger Syrup takes the drink to a whole new level with a nice little ginger snap. I made this drink to go along with Maria’s favorite chili that Rachael makes for her since ‘Ria loves a margarita too!
To make the Agave Ginger Syrup, simply heat up equal parts of agave syrup and water in a small saucepan to dissolve the agave. Add in some peeled and sliced ginger and let steep for several hours while it cools. Transfer to a squeeze bottle. This syrup is great to use in all sorts of cocktails to add an extra gingery zing! Store extra syrup in a squeeze bottle in the fridge.
Pairs well with Chili For Maria.
