Five Dollar Shake Recipe

  • Servings: 2

Bourbon works perfectly in an adult, boozy milkshake because it's sweet and just a little bit syrupy on its own. The secret ingredient in this shake which compliments the bourbon really nicely is a super simple ginger tea.  The ginger tea adds a little spiciness and depth to the shake, it’s also delicious just to drink on its own with a little honey in it.

To make the ginger tea, peel and chop a couple inches of ginger and add to a few cups of water, bring to a simmer and let cook for 10 minutes. Cooled to room temperature then strain out ginger and refrigerate until ready to use.
