Applesauce Whiskey Sour


  • Applesauce from the bottom of the jar

  • 2 1/2 ounces rye whiskey

  • 1 ounce lemon juice

  • 1/2 ounce cinnamon simple syrup (1 part water + 1 part sugar + cinnamon sticks heated until sugar dissolves then cooled)


To the applesauce jar, add whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup and some ice. Cover with jar lid, shake and DOUBLE strain with a normal cocktail strainer AND one of those mini cocktail strainers that look like tiny veggie strainers into a chilled coupe.

Garnish with a nutmeg-dusted apple slice.
