This peanut butter chocolate chip beauty was passed on to me by my aunt a few years back and it has been in my regular rotation ever since. It's great to bring to a family party - kids love it - and couldn't be easier. One bowl, one pan. It keeps for days - and it makes a great breakfast too (don't tell your kids)!

If you like s'mores - and who doesn't - and brownies - again, who doesn't - then you have to try these. I modified my idol, Joy the Baker's s'more brownie recipe with brownie mix (Joy the Baker's recipe was for home made brownies) - and as Joy suggests, I mixed crushed graham crackers and cut up marshmallows into the batter (and of course I couldn't resist throwing some chocolate chips in there as well) and put whole marshmallows on top which got golden brown in the oven - just like if I had roasted them over the campfire. Yum.

I have been tweaking the classic Tollhouse Cookie recipe for years to recreate my husband's favorite childhood chocolate chip cookie his grandmother used to make. He would head to her freezer (she stored them already cooked in a big zip lock in the freezer) every time he visited to grab one of these super-thin beauties. If you like thin, chewy, chocolate chip cookies - these are right up your alley!

These lemon squares are classic - light, not too sweet, and delicious. I have made them many times for baby or wedding showers and served them on a platter with homemade brownies. The recipe came from my mom's old Children's Hospital cookbook which she has had for years. Perfect with a cup of tea after lunch.

Sometimes basic is best - particularly when it comes to baking. The oatmeal cookie recipe under the lid of Quaker Oats has proven to be the best oatmeal cookie recipe out there for me - especially if you skip the raisins and replace with chocolate chips. I've adapted it slightly over the years and now it has become a family favorite. You can also add chopped dried cherries which are a perfect compliment to the chocolate chips.
Bonus! This is a great way to get some fiber in your kids.

This is a classic banana bread - moist and full of chocolate chips! This recipe is one of my family's favorites that I make on a sometimes weekly basis. I am the only regular banana eater in the house (besides my dog - he can hear me peeling a banana from the opposite end of the house and comes running) but keep buying them every week because my kids request the banana bread. A great way to use your overripe bananas, this loaf makes a great hostess gift plus it freezes well tightly wrapped in foil the freezer for up to 3 months.
